Inky AI

Inky AI voice requests

Speak a request and correct the words Inky heard, or phone Inky and talk it through, with the same spending and approval controls.

Speak, check, then send

  1. 1.1

Choose the store and what you have selected, then allow the microphone when you want to use voice.

  2. 1.2

Start push-to-talk and say your request. Watch the recording indicator and stop when you are done.

  3. 1.3

Read and correct the transcript before sending it. Check product codes, quantities, sizes, dates and prices.

  4. 1.4

Send the request, then review the same plan, credit estimate and approvals as for a typed request.

Phone Inky and talk it through

You can also phone Inky and have a conversation, as you would with a colleague. Inky repeats quantities, addresses, deadlines and amounts of money back to you before anything that matters happens, and you can stop at any moment. A spoken yes does not approve a change to money, orders or production: you approve those on screen.

Costs and recording

Turning speech into text and the work that follows use the same credit balance as typed requests. When you choose spoken answers, their cost is shown too. A live conversation shows its cost as it runs and ends by itself after a period of silence. You can stop recording at any time; the microphone is never left on in the background.

If the microphone or the words are wrong

Type the request instead when the microphone is blocked, the recording fails or the shop floor is too loud. If Inky hears fifteen instead of fifty, correct the transcript or say it again before anything that matters. Inky does not guess a quantity, a deadline or a price from unclear audio.
